From The Pirate Bay to The Pirate City, a wonderful evolution in technology and user-driven developments. On The Pirate City web site you do not have to download movies, instead you watch them in your browser using streaming technnology. The Pirate Bay has responded to SMRN stating that they have nothing to do with The Pirate City.
The big difference between The Pirate Bay and The Pirate City is that the webpage does not link to .torrents for download, instead it links to already streamed content from sites such as You Tube, BBC, CBS, NBC, Veoh and Megavideo.
Looking at the popularity of the ThePirateBay the new The Pirate City could potentially reach a global audience quickly. Joost, Hulu and the other streaming services are probably shaking behind their desks. Some of the top movies have already over 8.000 views.
"Content owners must also understand that ThePirateCity is a complex system of automatic indexers, robotic scripts and user submissions; if a video exists on the web we will at some point find it and index it. It is entirely possible (and in some cases likely) that we will index a previously removed video that is hosted using a different link or different hosting website. If this happens please let us know as per DMCA protocol and we will address the issue."
